Lena Viersen

This project centered around using typography to impact a place and the people in it. My concept centered around the bittersweet feelings around graduating soon, both reminding the people living around here that our time was ending, but we need to make the most of it. I focused on an alley where a large portion of the seniors at my school lived. I chose this place because it held a lot of memories for everyone living there, and the alley had a sense of community. I designed these posters to resemble event posters, using experimental type and the bright color of the paper to catch the eye. I recruited my friends to go out during the night and decorate the alley with these posters, rounding out the experience by providing us one last hurrah in the place we called home.
