This book was my first pass at making a children's book start to finish. I was assigned with creating an illustrated book, and created a children's book from "Birches" by Robert Frost. I thought a lot about how to properly visualize the text, analyzing the content of what was being said in order to come up with images that complimented the story. This pushed me to explore how to not directly illustrate the text and work to find abstract meanings to enhance the story. This book also helped me understand the importance of working simultaneously with image and text in a children's book layout. They influence each other greatly and neither can be stagnant.
